Hume Fire Protection District responded to 11 calls in 2017 - 8.3 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Hume included 11 fires - three structure fires, one vehicle fire and seven other fires.

In all, the department saw $6,500 in fire loss - or about $591 per fire.

The Hume Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $22,316 in 2017.
