Clay City FPD responds to two fires in 2017

Clay City Fire Protection District responded to two calls in 2017 - 50 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Clay City included two fires - one structure fire and one vehicle fire.

In all, the department saw $500,000 in fire loss - or about $250,000 per fire.

The Clay City Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $82,923 in 2017.
