CARLE RICHLAND MEMORIAL HOSPITAL: CRMH and Aperion Care Olney to Conduct a Men’s Health Expo at Olney Rural King

Carle Richland Memorial Hospital issued the following announcement on June 22.

Local healthcare providers partner to lead a health expo at Rural King to serve and support local men. On Saturday, June 30 a men’s health expo will be open to the public led by Carle Richland Memorial Hospital and Aperion Care Olney. This event will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Rural King on 501 N West St in Olney.

Admission for the event is free of charge and participants are encouraged to take part in free blood pressure screenings, as well as, PSA screenings and Lipid Profile + A1C screenings for $25 each (cash or check). Fasting for the PSA and Lipid screenings are recommended, and snacks and food items will be available afterwards. Informational health literature will also be provided along with special giveaways and door prizes.

Event representatives also encourage participants to speak with Urologist, Dr. Melanie Waller, who will be available to answer any one-one questions that those may have. Dr. Waller will be present at this event from 8:00 to 10 a.m. Representatives from Carle Richland Memorial Hospital and Aperion Care Olney will also be available throughout the event to answer any questions as well.

Carle Richland Memorial Hospital Director of Organizational/Community Development, Eric Toliver, encourages all local men and Rural King shoppers to attend. “Our summer Saturdays are always busy, but we hope guys will take a little time out of their day to drop by and have these screenings done. Staying on top of our health and finding concerns early leads to the best outcomes.”
