Graduates earn 3,545 degrees, certificates from Lake Land College

About 13.4 percent of the 3,545 degrees and certificates handed out by the Lake Land College in 2016-17 were to students in Personal and Culinary Services programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Mattoon conferred 474 certificates in Personal and Culinary Services programs.

But the single most popular program was for a certificate in Construction Trades, General. Data shows the school gave out 453 certificates in Construction Trades, General, followed by 424 certificates in Culinary Arts/Chef Training and 418 associate's degrees in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies.

The college enrolled 5,107 students for 2016-17, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
