Report: Windsor spent $10,018 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Windsor Community Unified School District 1 is up 3 percent from five years ago, according to a East Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Shelby County school district spent $9,763 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $10,018 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 395 to 371.

Windsor's spending in 2016-17 was 23 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
