Report: Martinsville spent $9,828 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Martinsville Community Unit School District 3C is up 8 percent from five years ago, according to a East Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Clark County school district spent $9,113 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $9,828 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 419 to 416.

Martinsville's spending in 2016-17 was 24 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
