Report: Marshall spent $8,194 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Marshall Community Unit School District 2C is up 2 percent from five years ago, according to a East Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Clark County school district spent $8,032 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $8,194 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 1367 to 1390.

Marshall's spending in 2016-17 was 37 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
