Report: Red Hill spent $7,743 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Red Hill Community Unit School District 10 is down 13 percent from five years ago, according to a East Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Lawrence County school district spent $8,938 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $7,743 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 1100 to 1002.

Red Hill's spending in 2016-17 was 40 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
