City of Oakland Council met April 5.

Here is the minutes provided by the Council:

Council members present: Donnie Woodworth, Fred Ehler, Steve Newlin, David Stolz, Dan Drake, Niki Stark

Also present: Mayor Bob Michaels , Clerk Kelsey Willison, Attorney Jim Grant,

Chief of Police Jack Sanders, Officer Ethan Brewer Kevin McReynolds, Randy Duzan, Mike Patterson, Janice Hunt, Doug White, Martha Allison

Bob Michaels started the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Approval Of Minutes Of Previous Meetings: Motion-Stolz 2ndWoodworth,

Motion approved 6 ayes

Approval Of Treasurer's Report: Motion-Newlin, 2nd-Stolz. Motion approved 6 ayes.

Approval Of Agenda: Motion- Stolz, 2nd-Woodworth Motion approved 6 ayes.

- Anthony A. Harrison, 36, 326 S. Hazel Arrested for Criminal Damage to Property

- Derek M. Stites, 28, 103 N. Logan Arrested on Coles County Warrant for FTA Possession of Meth

- Angelina Y. Louthan /Olivea, 34, 211N. Pike Arrested for Domestic battery, possession of Meth

- Tiffany A. Bishop, 22, 103 N. Logan, Arrested on Douglas County warrant for FTA. D.U.I and our charges of Possession of Meth, Possession of hypo syringes, Possession of controlled substance and obstruction Justice Served a search warrant in town and seized meth and drug paraphernalia (Ethan), assisted mulit-jurisdictional task forces when they seized a large quanitity of meth and arrested 3 for trafficking meth, cyber theft-unfounded, juveniles on roof of the VFWbroken window, domestic at 25053 Johnson Drive(been at this location 10 times), noise complaint at Quality Housing – party left before police arrived, panic alarm at Family Dollar- False alarm, Anhydrous Leak at Crop Production, suspicious vehicle-pokey man Hunter, stolen vehicle at Quality Housing-unfounded, Domestic at camper at park- lady was yelling at dog to get out of the cat food, met with Superintendent Landeck and discussed security and surveillance cameras

Squad car front grill someone hit a bird and it will need some pair and John Henry backed into the dumpster causing some damage to the rear. Brian Lang will fix the car. Want to rehire John Clough to fill in some.

Public Works: Randy Duzan

Took sewer and water samples, read water meters, maintenance on equipment, Trimmed brush, opened flood gates, cleaned grates, working on service line inventory, put up voting booths. Working on a plan to pour 640 FT of concrete this summer, will need to buy more concrete tools

Dan Drake meet with Randy and Jack about the Employees. Roger Hale is going to retire at the end of the year. At this time we will not fill his spot.
