Analysis: Olney pays $7.30 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Olney Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 88 percent of the $528,590 the Olney Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $7.30 for every $1 from pension members, according to a East Central Reporter analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Olney contributed $464,954 to the fund, which saw a $19,455 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $63,636, or 12 percent, in 2016.
