Marshall City Council met Feb. 26.
Here is the minutes provided by the Council:
The regular meeting of the City Council was called to order at 6:30 P.M., with Mayor John Trefz presiding. Upon roll call, all council members were present.
Smitley made a motion, seconded by Pearce, to approve the minutes of the previous meeting as written. Upon roll call, all council members voted for. Motion carried.
Wallace made a motion, seconded by Smitley to approve the Collection, Treasurer, Investment, Police and Building Reports for January 2018. Upon roll call, all council members voted for. Motion carried.
The Marshall Community Pool Committee presented the City with a $1,000,000.00 check for the new pool being built this year.
Strait made a motion, seconded by LeFever, to approve Pay Application #1 from Hoerr Construction Inc. for the Sewer Lining – 2018 project in the amount of $2,571.32. Upon roll call, all council members voted for. Motion carried.
Green made a motion, seconded by Tharp, to approve a street closing request for Sunday, June 24, 2018; 11am-1pm; Archer Ave. from 5th-6th streets, Locust St. from 5th-6th streets, S 5th Street from Archer Ave. – Locust St., s 6th street from Archer Ave – Locust St. Upon roll call, all council members voted for. Motion carried.
Wallace made a motion, seconded by LeFever to pay the bills in the amount of $327,603.29. Upon roll call, all members voted for. Motion carried.
LeFever made a motion, seconded by Tharp to adjourn. Upon roll call, all council members voted for. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 7:08 P.M.
