Webp meet

Village of Dieterich Village Board met January 23.

Here is the minutes as provided by the board:

The Dieterich Village Board met in special session on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at

6:30 pm at Village Hall.

The meeting was called to order by Trustee Mike Meyer and the Pledge of

Allegiance was recited.

The following Trustees were present: Carrie Galbraith; Jeff White; Mike Meyer and

Jennie Vail. With four Trustees present, a quorum was declared to be present. Also

at the meeting was: Clerk Brittny Gipson.

A motion was made by Trustee C. Galbraith; seconded by Trustee J. White to

appoint Trustee Mike Meyer as President Pro-tem for the meeting, due to the

absence of President Brad Hardiek. Roll call was 4 yes and 0 no.

A motion was made by Trustee M. Meyer; seconded by Trustee J. Vail to approve

Resolution 456-18: Authorizing the Issuance of a Liquor License to Harry’s Tavern,

LLC. Roll call was 4 yes and 0 no.

In other new business, Clerk Gipson updated the Board on what the Village

attorney had to say about the Liberty Drive road right-of-way north of Prairie Drive.

Since Jake Hartke’s home and deck were built prior to the Village adopting Zoning

and building setback regulations in 2002, the Village has to allow the deck to stay

and those improvements are considered an allowable non-conforming existing use

structure. The Village will need to adjust the Liberty Drive right-of-way to the east

to jog around the Hartke’s deck.

At 6:45 pm a motion was made by Trustee J. White; seconded by Trustee J. Vail to

adjourn the meeting. Roll call was 4 yes and 0 no.
