Most frugal cities in East Central Illinois

Budget 02

Village of Stoy, Village of Redmon and Village of Rose Hill top the list in East Central Illinois with the lowest spending per capita in 2017, Illinois State Comptroller financial reports show.

State law requires local governments to self-report financial records each year, including revenue, spending and debt. Municipal spending per capita is calculated to compare budget habits across cities and villages.
