East Central Reporter

North Clay Fire Protection District responded to 29 calls in 2016, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System obtained by the East Central Reporter.

The calls in North Clay included 22 fires - 10 structure fires, seven vehicle fires and five other fires.

In all, the department saw $189,100 in fire loss - or about $8,595 per fire.

The department also received seven false calls.
