Henry Senachwine Community Unit School District 5 Board of Education met Aug. 16.
Here is the minutes provided by the Board:
I. A special meeting of the Board of Education of the Henry-Senachwine CUSD 5 was held in the Henry-Senachwine High School Media Center, 1023 College Ave., Henry, Illinois on Monday, August 7, 2017 at 7:00 p.m.
II. There were present in person: Lori DeWeerth, Angela Earles, Michelle Gibson, Jeremy Kiesewetter, Mary Jo Klein, Steve Rowe and Randy Witko comprising a quorum of the Board.
There were absent: None
III. Motion by Angela Earles, seconded by Steve Rowe, that the Board of Education of CUSD 5 approve the agenda with the following change:

VI. 6.01 Motion by Angela Earles, seconded by Steve Rowe, that the Board of Education of Henry- Senachwine CUSD 5 approve and accept the resignation of Weston Wolven as HSHS Principal.

6.02 Motion by Steve Rowe, seconded by Angela Earles, that the Board of Education of Henry-Senachwine CUSD 5 approve and accept the resignation of Jonathan Krieghauser as HSGS Teacher.

EMPLOY PRINCIPAL
6.03 Motion by Randy Witko, seconded by Michelle Gibson, that the Board of Education of Henry-Senachwine CUSD 5 approve the employment of Dr. Jon Hill as HSHS Principal with a two-year contract starting with the 2017-2018 school term with an annual contract amount of $88,000 (pro-rated for a scheduled start date of Wednesday, August 9, 2017) pending the results of a criminal background check.

6.06 Motion by Mary Jo Klein, seconded by Michelle Gibson, that the Board of Education of Vollyball Coach Henry-Senachwine CUSD 5 approve the employment of Joel Anderson as HSHS Assistant Volleyball Coach with a stipend of $2,583.37 for the 2017-2018 school year.
