The campaign committee Citizens for Michael Stopka owes a $4,275 fine imposed on Nov. 18, 2015, according to Illinois State Board of Elections (ISBE).

A detailed look reveals the committee owes additional outstanding fines totaling $1,425 with Michael Stopka listed as the responsible officer.

ISBE Records dating back to 2003 show four area campaign committees owe a combined total of $33,502 in pending fines.
