Sarah Bush Lincoln’s Volunteer Guild will host a two-day Fall Market Oct. 21-22 at the Lumpkin Family Center for Health Education at 1000 Health Center Dr. in Mattoon off Illinois Route 16.
The “Fall Market” is set for 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21 and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22, with plenty of parking and free admission.
The event boosts an extensive vendor list, from one-of-a-kind handcrafted items to well-known national brands carried by local representatives.
Handmade jewelry, pottery, candles, quilts, clothing and honey products will be available as well as home-party lines featuring cosmetics, jewelry, body wraps as well as cleaning, home décor and food storage items.
“We’re really excited about the quality of vendors we have at this year’s Fall Market,” SBL Volunteer Guild Director Colleen Stoner said. “I think community members will be pleased with what they see.”
All proceeds will support Lifeline, a system for at-risk individuals in East Central Illinois whose health requires monitoring. By providing personal response and early intervention services, Lifeline enables residents age in place with safety and dignity.
The guild provides financial assistance to individuals who would not otherwise be able to have Lifeline in their homes, and the SBL Volunteer Guild donates $15,000 annually for Lifeline grant assistance.
The Lumpkin Family Center houses trainings, retreats and other programs for the Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center and its surrounding community.
