Village Board of St. Joseph pays bills

The Village Board of St. Joseph met July 26 to pay bills as presented.

Here are the meeting's minutes, as provided by the boad:

Mayor Hackler called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

The Pledge of Allegiance was said by all present.

Roll call was taken. Hackler Present

Rigdon Present

Gherna Present

McCarty Present

Fruhling-Voges Present

Rapp Present

Rogers Absent

Others in attendance: Tiffany McElroy-Smetzer, Village Clerk; Mike Peters, Village Maintenance Superintendent; Joe Lierman, Village Attorney; and Susan Monte, Champaign County Regional Planning Commission.

MINUTES: The minutes of July 12, 2016 were approved as received.

BILLS: Rigdon motioned and McCarty seconded to pay the bills as presented. Roll call vote was taken: Rigdon – Aye, Gherna – Aye; McCarty – Aye, Fruhling-Voges – Aye; Rapp – Aye. Motion passed 5-0.

MAYOR’S DESK: Hackler reported on his day at the Illinois Municipal League. The General Assembly has voted to forward all municipal funds to the municipalities through 6.30.17.

FINANCE: Fruhling-Voges reported on the Appropriations Ordinance for Fiscal Year 2017. The total of the appropriation is $2,387,407. Vote Fruhling-Voges motioned and Gherna seconded to approve the Appropriation Ordinance as presented. Roll call vote was taken: Gherna – Aye, McCarty – Aye, Fruhling-Voges – Aye, Rapp – Aye, and Rigdon – Aye. Motion passed 5-0.

The Personnel manual changes will be approved at the next meeting.

Fruhling-Voges reported on a report that she had received from Champaign County Regional Planning Commission. She will distribute this to the Trustees. She discussed some of the highlights of the report.

SANITARY SEWER: Ridgon presented a quote $4,232 from Schomburg and Schomburg for cell repair. Rigdon motioned and Gherna seconded to accept the quote as presented. Roll call vote was taken: McCarty – Aye, Fruhling-Voges – Aye, Rapp – Aye, Rigdon – Aye, and Gherna – Aye. Motion passed 5-0.

PARKS & RECREATION: Nothing to report.

PUBLIC HEALTH & SAFETY: Nothing to report.

BUILDINGS & GROUNDS: Nothing to report.

STREETS & ALLEYS: Nothing to report.

REGIONAL PLANNING COMMISSION REPORT: Susan Monte updated the Board on the progress regarding the Zoning Ordinances.

At 7:56, Rigdon motioned and Gherna seconded to adjourn the meeting.
