The St. Joseph-Ogden CHSD 305 board of education met March 28 to approve entering into the new conference that would be created by merging the Okaw Valley and Corn Belt Conferences.
The motion was carried unanimously.
The board of education also approved paying for the current juniors to take the ACT assessment at SJO and the planting of a memorial tree by the friends of Marianne Dickerson.
Next, members selected First Midstate Inc. as the underwriter and placement agent and Chapman and Cutler LLP as bond and disclosure counsel to the underwriter and placement agent.
The board approved an Eagle Scout project proposal to install portable bleachers at the baseball field; BLDD to do the architectural work on the Health/Life Safety tuck pointing, roof and ceiling project; the administration of the InFaith Community Foundation Lutheran Scholarship and the establishment and administration of the Papa Pridemore Scholarship; and a three-year contract with Russell Leigh & Associates.
