The Charleston Carnegie Public Library board of trustees met April 4 to elect its fiscal year 2017 officers.
Craig Cunningham will be filling the role of vice president, while all other positions remain the same. The motion was approved unanimously.
The board of trustees also approved personnel policy revisions; discussed the director’s appraisal; discussed Library Strategic Plan 100 days/100 ideas; and that library fundraiser sponsorships need to be completed.
In accordance with Illinois State Statues (75 ILCS 5/4-1), the mayor of the City of Charleston appoints nine residents to serve as trustees of the Charleston Carnegie Public Library. The board of trustees acts as a governing board, establishing all library policies.
