State Representative Blaine Wilhour (R-110th District) expressed his gratitude to the students of Full Armor Christian Academy in Louisville for their efforts in recognizing military service members during the 2025 Veterans Day program. The event took place at Nostalgia Theater in Flora.
The program featured various performances by students from different grade levels. Preschool students sang “Leaning on the Everlasting Arms.” Kindergarten and first-grade students played “This Land is Your Land” on bells, while second graders recited the poem “Veterans Day” by Cheryl Dyson. Third and fourth graders performed “You’re a Grand Old Flag” on bells. The fifth and sixth grade choir sang “Lion” and played “Jacob’s Ladder” on chimes. Additionally, the Full Armor Dance Team performed a routine titled “Gratitude,” and a military march was included as part of the ceremony.
Wilhour, who was elected as a Republican to represent Illinois’ 110th House District in 2023 after replacing Chris Miller, attended the event to show his support for both veterans and local students.
"I want to thank all of the students at Full Armor Christian Academy for taking time out of their day to honor our local veterans," said Wilhour. "It is important that we never forget the sacrifices made by those who served our country."
