Last week, the United States District Court for the Central District of Illinois dismissed the civil rights case Kraft v. Shelby County without prejudice. The dismissal allows the plaintiffs to refile their complaint within 21 days.

A statement from Edgar County Watchdogs noted, "We have yet to decide if we will file an amended complaint."

The court's decision means that while the current version of the lawsuit is no longer active, the plaintiffs may revise and resubmit their claims within the specified timeframe.
