State Representative Brad Halbrook (R-Shelbyville) has announced that the Illinois Department of Transportation’s Multi-Year Program will include a series of transportation projects in the 107th District from Fiscal Years 2026 through 2029.
“I am pleased to see the inclusion of the 107th District in the robust Illinois Department of Transportation’s (IDOT) Multi-Year Program,” said Rep. Halbrook. “I will continue to ensure downstate Illinois receives its fair share of investments. Safe and reliable infrastructure is not a luxury—it’s a necessity.”
According to Halbrook, $362,680,000 will be allocated for 108 different projects across more than 187 miles of roads within the district through 2031. The projects will cover several counties and major roadways, including I-57, I-70, U.S. 36, U.S. 45, Fayette Avenue in Effingham, and other local streets. Planned improvements include bridge reconstruction and preservation, pavement rehabilitation and reconstruction, and initial construction of new roads.
Halbrook was elected as a Republican representative for Illinois’ 107th House District in 2023, succeeding Blaine Wilhour.
