Crawford County taxpayers ranked 82nd in total sales taxes paid per county in June, according to Illinois tax records.

In total, residents paid $126,743 in sales taxes during June.

The county ranked 86th in the Prairie State the month before, with $105,040 spent in sales taxes.

The largest share of sales taxes paid by Crawford County residents in June came from the Countywide Sales Tax.

The Countywide Sales Tax, a crucial revenue stream, is primarily allocated for county governments' use.
