The House of Representatives hosted a group of Crawford County CEO students on their recent visit to the Capitol. The trip provided these young entrepreneurs with a firsthand experience of the legislative process.

During the visit, it was emphasized that understanding public policies passed at the state level is crucial for future business decisions. “I am always excited to see the next generation of entrepreneurs come to the House of Representatives to learn about the legislative process. They need to know that the public policies passed here impact the regulations, taxes and fees imposed on businesses in Illinois and they need to consider those policies when making decisions about their business ventures,” stated a spokesperson.

In addition to the House visit, the students had the opportunity to meet with State Senator Chapin Rose and visit the Senate Chambers.
