Adam Niemerg, a representative for Illinois State House District 102, said he appreciates everyone who traveled to the State Capitol to participate in the Pro-Life March. He conveyed this sentiment in a Facebook post dated March 25.
"Thank you to everyone who traveled to the State Capitol today to continue our fight for every precious unborn child in Illinois," said Niemerg, State Representative, according to Facebook.
The event referenced by Niemerg is the Illinois Pro-Life March, formerly known as the Illinois March for Life. It featured a rally, a march to the Capitol, and lobbying activities. Participants had the chance to meet with Illinois pro-life legislators between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. before the rally commenced. Additional events included a Mass for Life hosted by the Diocese of Springfield, a Matins Service by the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod at Trinity Lutheran Church, and another Mass hosted by the Canons Regular at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.

Niemerg was among eight speakers at the rally and shared a video of his speech on Facebook. In his five-minute address, he said that Governor J.B. Pritzker seeks to prioritize extreme political agendas over life sanctity. Niemerg criticized Pritzker for eliminating parental notification for abortion—the requirement for clinics to inform parents when their teen is about to undergo an abortion procedure. He called for new leadership that listens to constituents, restores common sense, and reinstates parental notifications while urging attendees to advocate for pro-life policies.
The Illinois Pro-Life March is organized by Illinois Right to Life and Illinois Right to Life Action. The march originated in 2013, and in 2023, it transitioned from Chicago to Springfield as the Illinois March for Life. By 2024, it was renamed due to trademark restrictions.
Niemerg represents the 109th District as of January 13, 2021, having been active in the Illinois General Assembly since then. A native of Teutopolis, he holds a bachelor's degree from Eastern Illinois University after attending Lake Land College and has professional experience as a senior claims adjuster with Country Financial.
