A Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request was submitted to the Windsor Community Unit School District 1 regarding specific emails and memos dated back to the past 12 months. The request was made on January 28, 2025.
The request, sent by East Central Reporter, a media organization dedicated to comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, seeks access to all emails and memos containing the keywords “Lucy Calkins” and “Units of Study.”

The report also revealed that the average student-to-administrative ratio is 141:1, and the average student-to-teacher ratio is 17:1. Interestingly, it was found that 58% of teachers in Illinois possess a master's degree or higher.
