City of Tuscola City Council met Nov. 25.

Here are the minutes provided by the council:

The regular meeting of the Tuscola City Council was called to order with Brace, Day, Hoey, Morris, Rund, Shoemaker, Slaughter, Waldrop and Mayor Kleiss in attendance. Clerk Leamon was absent; Deputy Clerk Wasiloski filled in. Mayor Kleiss led the Pledge of Allegiance.

Minutes of the Previous Meeting: November 12, 2024

Financial Report: None

Payment of bills totaling $366, 167.91

Pay request: Included in bills - L.J. Swingler & Sons for TPD- $84,946.66

Request to Conduct Fundraising: None

Community Building lease request with alcohol: None

Other: None

Hoey moved to approve the items on the consent agenda. Rund seconded. VOTE YEA* Brace, Day, Hoey, Morris, Rund, Shoemaker, Slaughter and Waldrop. Shoemaker moved to approve the consent agenda for November 25, 2024. Brace seconded. VOTE YEA* Brace, Day, Hoey, Morris, Rund, Shoemaker, Slaughter and Waldrop.

City Administrator - No Report

Contracts and Agreements-None

Other- The Mayor mentioned that the FY 26 property tax levy is on file at City Hall and on the website for public viewing; action on the levy will be requested at the next council meeting. Administrator Hoel briefly introduced the proposed adoption of the 2021 International Solar Energy code- to be presented for action at the last December council meeting.

Administrator Hoel noted that leaf pickup for the year will be completed by the week of December 6th

November 25, 2024 Mayor Kleis introduced the schedules of regular meetings for 2025 for both City Council and Tourism Boards. Shoemaker moved to approve. Waldrop seconded. VOTE YEA* Brace, Day, Hoey, Morris, Rund, Shoemaker, Slaughter and Waldrop.

Mayor Kleiss wished everyone a safe and Happy Thanksgiving.

The motion to adjourn was made by Slaughter and seconded by Day. VOTE YEA* Brace, Day, Hoey, Morris, Rund, Shoemaker, Slaughter and Waldrop.
