There were 12 Asian students enrolled in Clay County school districts in the 2022-23 school year, 7.7% more than the previous year, according to the Illinois State Board of Education.

Data showed that Asian students made up 0.5% of the 2,195 students in the county. They were the second least represented ethnicity at the time.

Among the three districts in Clay County, Flora Community Unit School District 35 recorded the highest enrollment of Asian students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 12 students.
