An appeal for a mobile home sited at 610 E Cumberland St was heard. Jordon Perisho and the Zoning Building Commission stated their case.
--Motion by J. Hammond, 2nd by A. Wilhoit, to uphold the Zoning Building Commission decision to deny the mobile home application for 610 E Cumberland St.

Mr. Perisho encouraged the Council to go ahead and take the case to court.
Ordinance 2024-7-1 Appropriation Ordinance was presented to the Council. Councilman Hammond questioned about the water/gas meter project being included in the figures. The attorney will modify the figures to reflect that cost.
--Motion by A. Wilhoit, 2nd by C. Perry, to approve Ordinance 2024-7-1 Appropriation Ordinance with modification of adding water/gas meter replacement costs into the ordinance.

The Council discussed the police department and coverage during the weekend. They talked about consideration of adding another full-time officer. Dan Kibler discussed costs of putting an ad in the newspaper.
Chief Slater addressed the Council over concerns discussed at the previous meeting by a couple of citizens in his absence.
OTHER:
Mayor Davidson
● There is an OSLAD grant through Department of Natural Resources for park improvements that is open. The city will be pursuing that grant to help with the remaining costs of the pickleball and basketball court project and possibly some other improvements.
Lovell
● He asked if anyone was registering to go to the TIF District session at the IML Conference in September. Mayor
Davidson also mentioned that Bob Waggoner with go with someone if they wanted to go to a Dieterich TIF meeting.
● He asked if the street sweeper can get along curb edges downtown. There are a lot of cigarette butts.
Clerk
● Audit preparation is underway. Sending documents to the auditors
● TextMyGov is live.
● Training will begin soon for Zenner and Civic Systems for electronic meter reading.
● The city received a check from a private donor for $250 for the pickleball and basketball courts.
Attorney Bernardoni
● Circulated a Levy Calculation Worksheet.
