Village of Noble Village Board met June 24.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

The Village Council met on the above date at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was called to order and present were Brad Kessler, Karen Totten, Tresa Hundley, Carl Klingler, Paul Summers, Gary Ulm, Janet Pflaum, Carol O’Dell and Ashley Pipher.

Opened with silent prayer and followed by reciting Pledge of Allegiance.

Motion made by Carol O’Dell to approve June 10, 2024, minutes. Seconded by Ashley Pipher. All voting Aye.

Mosquito spraying has begun in the village.

2024 Noble Freedom Festival & Parade will be held on Saturday, June 29 in Noble Park. Direct Debt/Autopay is being offered for village water customers. Info included with billing The Village Hall will be closed on July 4.

Miller’s Tree Service has cut down trees in the village and they will get around to grinding stumps.

A Finance Committee meeting to review the budget is scheduled for Thursday, June 27 at 6:00 p.m. at the Village Hall.

Discussion was held about drainage in Noble Cemetery for placing a sump pump, etc. The matter will be placed on next agenda and/or once information and costs are provided by Mike Bridges.

Trustee Pflaum informed the Board that the Personnel Committee met and reviewed applicants for the Treasurer position and determined that Locis would be the best option. Locis will charge for a 40hour block of $4,000.00. Locis said it could take 10-20 hours monthly barring any issues. Motion made by Carl Klingler to approve the Personnel Committee recommendation to hire Locis to handle the Village Treasurer duties. Seconded by Gary Ulm. Roll Call Taken, All voting Aye. Karen Totten will be working until July 26.

Trustee O’Dell asked about an area on S. First St that has weeds in ditch and was told that it would be State. Mayor Kessler said he would get ahold of someone.

Motion made by Carl Klingler to pay bills. Seconded by Gary Ulm. All voting Aye.

Motion made by Carol O’Dell to adjourn the meeting at 7:17 p.m. Seconded by Carl Klingler. All voting Aye.

The meeting adjourned until July 8, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. at the Noble Village Hall.
