6. DISCUSSION

6.1 Resolution No. 017-2024, A Resolution Authorizing Execution of Proposal for Professional Engineering Services for FY2025 Water Main Replacements - City Engineer Thoele

City Engineer Thoele stated this resolution authorizes execution of a proposal with Civil Design, Inc. in the total amount of $105,000 for professional engineering services for the FY2025 Water Main Replacements. This project consists of developing construction documents for the installation of new water main replacements which will be constructed by the City Water Department in the next couple of years. Payments for this project will be made from the Water Fund.

There were no objections to bring this item back to a future City Council Meeting.

6.2 Resolution No. 018-2024, A Resolution Authorizing Additional Service Agreement with Civil Design, Inc. for Merchant Street Reconstruction - Change Order 1 - City Engineer Thoele

City Engineer Thoele stated Change Order 1 in the amount of $22,000 is recommended for additional services needed for the Merchant Street Reconstruction Project from Eden Drive to Evergreen Avenue.

There were no objections to bring this item back to a future City Council Meeting.

6.3 Resolution No. 019-2024, A Resolution Authorizing Execution of Proposal for Engineering Services with Civil Design, Inc. for Merchant Street Reconstruction - Phase II - City Engineer Thoele

City Engineer Thoele stated this resolution authorizes execution of a proposal in the total amount $36,000 for engineering services with Civil Design, Inc. for the Merchant Street Reconstruction Project Phase II from Flamingo Avenue to West Evergreen Avenue. Payment for these services will be made from the General Fund.

There were no objections to bring this item back to a future City Council Meeting. 6.4 Merchant Street Land Acquisition from Eden to Flamingo - City Engineer Thoele

City Engineer Thoele stated that in conjunction with the street reconstruction, staff has begun discussions with property owners along Merchant from Eden to Flamingo. Right-of way will be pursued from 300 Flamingo Avenue. Permanent easements and temporary use permits will be requested from the other properties along Merchant between Eden and Flamingo. The cost of all the takings will total about $7,000 and will be paid from the General Fund.

There were no objections to bring this item back to a future City Council Meeting.

City Administrator Miller started the FY25 Budget Workshop will be at 4 p.m. on March 19th prior to the City Council Meeting.
