Council Attendance: Mayor Herman Davidson, Treasurer Terri Connelly, City Attorney Richard Bernardoni

Visitors: Dan Kibler‐Marshall Advocate Employees: Todd Shaffner, Chris Snearley

Meeting called to order by Mayor Davidson. Alderman B. Lovell led Prayer. All in attendance recited the “Pledge of Allegiance.”

Appoint and swear in new City Clerk, Christy Perisho. Sworn in by Mr. Bernardoni.

‐‐Motion by A. Whilhoit, 2nd by C. Perry to approve the 08/09/2023 Amended regular Council Meeting

‐‐Approval of 08/14/2023 Police Committee meeting minutes agreed to be done at the next Police Committee meeting.

‐‐Consideration and action to move Gas Department upstairs into City Hall was TABLED and a Warehouse Committee was formed.

‐‐Motion by C. Davidson, 2nd by J. Hammond to approve Resolution #2023‐R‐9‐1, “Compensation Paid Under an Internal Revenue Code Section 125 Plan as IMRF Earnings”.

‐‐Consideration and action to purchase street sweeper, council decided to reconsider allocation of funds for other equipment.

‐‐Motion by C. Davidson to close session, 2nd by C. Perry. Called to close at 8:30 pm.

Council Comments:

Mayor Davidson: Looking for grant for police body cams.

Adding to next agenda: transmission failing in city truck.

C. Davidson: concerned about ordinance violations.
