Miller: ‘Joe Biden tried to use OSHA to fire 84 million Americans from their jobs unless they got the COVID vaccine’

U.S. Rep. Mary Miller (R-IL) grilled Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s Doug Parker for trying to get American workers fired for not taking Covid vaccines in 2021.

“Joe Biden tried to use OSHA to fire 84 million Americans from their jobs unless they got the COVID vaccine or showed medical paperwork to their employers. OSHA does NOT have the power to create an illegal vaccine mandate and fire Americans who say no. I grilled OSHA on your behalf!” Miller said on Facebook.

Miller attached a video to the post.

“What I want to know is if you believe that OSHA actually has the power to force 84 million Americans to do that,” Miller asked Parker.

“Well, the Supreme Court ruled on that matter,” Parker responded.

“Yes. Thank God the Supreme Court ruled on that and stopped you from doing that. You’re now an unelected bureaucrat and you do not have the power to force 84 million people to take an experimental vaccine or show their papers. You tried to fire 84 million American workers. But do you believe the court was wrong?” Miller said.

“You know, the court made the final decision on the matter. That’s how our judicial system works,” Parker said.

“And after they made that decision, you actually said to Reuters, this is a quote. ’The ruling was unfortunate, but it’s not stopping us from pressing employers to take adaptive measures to keep things in place,’” Miller said to Parker.

OSHA originally required forced vaccination for employers with more than 100 employees, but that was later ruled unconstitutional.

In early 2022 Stanford Law reported the U.S. Supreme Court ruled against the Biden administration’s vaccine mandate for large businesses but allowed the vaccine mandate for health-care workers at federally funded facilities to stand.

The ruling turned on the interpretation of OSHA’s authority under the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 and raised questions about who has the power to make decisions on vaccination mandates.

In Chicago city employees were fired for refusing to be vaccinated, NBC reported. 

According to an April report from NBC 5 Chicago, a state hearing ruled that the City of Chicago employees fired or disciplined for violating COVID-19 vaccination requirements must be reinstated and compensated for any loss of wages or benefits, citing violations of the Illinois Public Labor Relations Act.

This ruling is seen as a rebuke of the city’s vaccine mandate and requires the city to “make whole” affected workers, potentially affecting a few dozen employees, with the ruling now going to the agency’s board for review.

Other similar legal actions have been taken in states such as Washington and New York where employees were fired for refusing to be vaccinated.

Meanwhile, Maryanne Demasi, PhD has reported on contamination found in the Covid vaccines.

Demasi noted researchers have expressed concern about the discovery of DNA contamination in Pfizer’s mRNA COVID-19 vaccine, as they fear these foreign DNA fragments may insert themselves into a person’s own genome and lead to potential health risks such as cancer.

They are calling for further testing to determine if vaccinated individuals have had foreign DNA integrated into their stem cells while highlighting the need for more rigorous safety measures in vaccine production.
