The Illinois Republican Party is hosting a committeeperson, chairman, and candidate training Monday, July 24 in Dietrich.

The event will be held at 19515 County Road 700 N. in Dietrich in conjunction with the monthly CIRW meeting.

“Sessions include legislative forums & guest speakers with vital information to unite the Republican Party for more red wins in ’24!" the Republican County Chairmen’s Association and the Illinois Republican Party said in an announcement

The event does not have an entry fee and includes a light dinner. For questions or more information call 618.525.1855 or email belstar@shawneelink.net.

Similar to the other series of training across the state, the event is an informative session where engaged Republican people can learn the ins and outs of political campaigns, prepare participants for success in the upcoming 2024 elections as well as become an empowered political change maker.

“The RCCA is working with the local county parties to help unite & train future leadership. We have great regional vice presidents & volunteer leaders in order to better support & educate local parties in the proper application of infrastructure & effective government training opportunities,” the Illinois Republican County Chairman's Association noted on its website.

Rhonda Belford, President of RCCA, said the organization continues to hope "that the RCCA take a leadership role in the structural 'grass-roots' organizing efforts that need to be established at the county level for more conservative candidates to be successful, able to implement policies that more readily reflect the values of those we represent."

The group offers a lengthy list of events for conservatives to get active in Illinois.

Other events will be on Saturday, July 29 in East Peoria, Saturday, Aug. 19 in Edwardsville, and Saturday, Sept. 16 in Springfield.

The Republican County Chairmen’s Association also conducted training at the Eagles Nest in West Frankfort on the last Saturday of June.
