City of Arcola City Council met Feb. 6.
Here are the minutes provided by the council:
Mayor Garza called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Members present were Alderpersons Becerra, Budd, Foran, Hensley, Smith and Garza. City Administrator Wagoner, Treasurer Anderson and Attorney Bequette.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Alderman Becerra led the council and audience in the Pledge of Allegiance.
PUBLIC COMMENT There was none.
APPROVAL OF JANUARY 16, 2023 COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES Alderman Smith moved to approve the January 16, 2023 council meeting minutes as presented and was seconded by Alderman Foran. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
APPROVAL OF JANUARY 14, 2023 THROUGH FEBRUARY 03, 2023 BILLS Alderman Foran moved to approve the January 14, 2023 – February 03, 2023 bills as presented and was seconded by Alderman Hensley. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
APPROVAL OF THE TREASURER’S REPORT FOR JANUARY 2023 Alderman Hensley moved to approve the Treasurer’s report for January 2023 and was seconded by Alderman Becerra. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
APPROVAL OF THE JANUARY ZONING OFFICER’S REPORT The Zoning Officer reported 1 permit issued with no valuation and no fee collected. There was 1 special use permit issued with a fee in amount of $45 collected. Alderman Foran moved to approve the January Zoning Officer’s report as presented and was seconded by Alderman Smith. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
CONSIDER AND APPROVE IDOT TARP/EDP FUNDING AGREEMENT FOR LIBMAN PROJECT P-95-034-23 AND C-95-004-23 Alderman Foran moved to approve IDOT TARP/EDP Funding Agreement for Libman Project P-95-034-23 and C-95-004-23. Alderman Garza seconded the motion. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
CONSIDER AND APPROVE RESOLUTION 23-R-1, A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A DESIGNATED CLASS II TRUCK ROUTE Alderman Foran moved to approve Resolution 23-R-1 and was seconded by Alderman Becerra. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
Alderman Becerra Had nothing at this time.
Alderman Budd Had nothing at this time.
Alderman Foran Reported the Water & Sewer Committee met prior to this meeting, discussed and voted to proceed with
Rebuild Illinois Public Infrastructure Engineering agreement with Milano & Grunloh Engineers. Also reported the Park, Street & Alley Committee met, discussed and voted to proceed with IDOT Agreement Libman Truck Route Project, Rebuild Illinois Main Street Grant Engineering and the request for honorary street sign at corner of Oak and Washington Streets in honor of Doris Atteberry.
Alderman Hensley Had nothing at this time.
Alderman Smith Had nothing at this time.
Alderman Garza Had nothing at this time.
As this concluded the business of the meeting, Alderman Becerra moved to adjourn and was seconded by Alderman Hensley. Roll call vote, all ayes. Motion carried.
