The Effingham County Chamber celebrates the opening of new businesses or locations and welcomes new Chamber members with ribbon cuttings, new member pictures, and other events and activities.
Lions Liquors also known as Lions Distinctive Wines, located at 204 S. Henrietta St., is one of the largest craft beer suppliers in the Effingham area. Since its opening in 2003 and changes in the liquor industry, Lions Liquors has grown and evolved to better serve the Effingham community.
In 2009, Effingham saw a trend and a demand within the wine industry. Lions Liquors stepped to that demand by growing their knowledge of wine and branching out to local businesses for wine and food pairings. They also expanded their location by building on an addition that not only doubled the square footage, but also gave them a private venue to host wine tastings and house over 200 varieties of wine.
Lions Liquors is committed to continually researching what the demand is and growing their inventory to meet that demand. They offer a large selection of bourbons and whiskeys, including highly sought after allocations, in addition to other liquor, beer, wine, soda, and mixers.
Recently remodeled, the wine room now houses a private video gaming room with six terminals, a private bar, a digital dartboard for individual or dart league use, a private secluded patio, and a private area for small events.
Lions has more exciting changes planned for this Spring. Follow them on Facebook for updates on upcoming tastings, events, and designated bar hours. Customers are also encouraged to join their customer loyalty program for promotions and in-store discounts.
