Village of Arthur Municipal Officers Electoral Board met Dec. 30.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

A meeting of the Municipal Officers Electoral Board was held on Monday, December 30, 2022, in the Board Room of the Village of Arthur Municipal Building. Village President Rod Randall called the meeting to order at 5:15 pm. Members of the Electoral Board include: Village President and Electoral Board Chairman, Rod Randall, Deputy Clerk, Erica Carter, and the senior most member of the Board of Trustees, David Tiffan. All were present. 

Public Comment 

Visitors present were Stephanie Wierman, Rob Fustin, Jeremy Hale, David Hale, and Shirley Hale. Rob Fustin, Jeremy Hale, and David Hale took the opportunity to speak and express their concerns with the objection and procedures. 

Discussion and Action on Petition Objection 

Chairman of the Electoral Board, Rod Randall, read the objection as submitted by Matt Bernius. 

There was an opportunity for discussion on the objection. 

Chairman Randall asked for a vote from Electoral Board Members. All three members of the Municipal Electoral Board voted "yes" to sustain the objection and acknowledge that the petition in question is incomplete and therefore invalid. 

General Discussion 

There was no additional discussion. 

Adjourn 

Chairman Randall adjourned the meeting at 5:43 pm.
