For the second week in a row, Eastern Illinois women's basketball has found themselves ranked in the CollegeInsider.com Women's Mid Major Top 25. The Panthers are the only team in the Ohio Valley Conference ranked in the poll this week.
This marks the first time the Panthers have been ranked in the poll in back-to-back weeks since they were ranked 14th in the polls on February 14, 2012 and 17th one week later. The poll first began for the 2010-11 season.
EIU currently stands at 6-2 this season, with their six wins being the most in the OVC. No other school in the conference currently has more than four wins overall on the season.
The Panthers will play their next game on the road against the Milwaukee Panthers on Saturday, December 10. Tipoff is scheduled for 2 PM CT.
