State Rep. Adam Niemerg (R-Dieterich) is endorsing Amanda Troyer for Richland County Clerk.

Niemerg believes Troyer knows the importance of free and fair elections and that she will bring integrity to the election process.

“As citizens in a free country, we have the opportunity to shape how we are governed by electing people to office," Niemerg said. "The right to vote is an essential ingredient in the success of our representative government. This is why election integrity is so important. We owe it to the citizens of this great country to ensure that every vote counts and that there is an honest accounting for every vote cast. Election integrity begins at the local level, and here locally, we have the opportunity to elect someone we know will go above and beyond in bringing integrity to the election process. That person is Amanda Troyer.”

Niemerg said Troyer is the most qualified candidate in the race and voters would be well-served to elect her on Nov. 8.

“Amanda will place a premium on running the office with honesty and integrity and she will treat everyone regardless of political party with dignity and respect,” Niemerg added. “Democrats have controlled this important office for 20 years. It is time to retake this office by electing Amanda Troyer.”

Troyer, who has been living in Richland County for 18 years, is running as a Republican for Richland County Clerk.

"This is a rock star right here," Niemerg said as he points to Troyer in a video posted on Facebook. She's going to reform the office of county clerk here in Richland County."

Troyer is running against Alice Mullinax.

Niemerg is seeking reelection to the 109th District seat in the House of Representatives.

Niemerg vows "to bring the conservative voices of our entrepreneurs, farmers, small business owners, and the people of the 109th district to Springfield." His campaign noted that "The 109th District is the heart of Illinois farming community." According to his campaign website, Niemerg's grandfather operated a small family farm and he understands the hardships the rural communities endure.

His parents started their own small business in the garage of their home in Teutopolis where Niemerg grew up. He now resides with his wife, Trina, and two small children in rural Dieterich (Bishop Township).
