Of the 19,551 citizens living in Douglas County in 2020, 14,694 were old enough to vote as of March 24, according to U.S. Census Bureau data.

The bureau reported 7,474 of those people were female and 7,220 were male.

Data for this story was compiled from the bureau’s American Community Survey. Information from the survey helps to determine how federal and state funds are distributed.
