Report: Richland County School District spent $9,492 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Richland County Community Unit School District 1 was up 0.9 percent from five years ago, according to the East Central Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Richland County school district spent $9,406 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $9,492 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 2,421 to 2,362 students over the same period.

Richland County's spending in 2019-20 was 34.5 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
