Report: Edgar County School District spent $9,851 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Edgar County Community Unit School District 6 was down 0.6 percent from five years ago, according to the East Central Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Edgar County school district spent $9,908 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $9,851 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 332 to 306 students over the same period.

Edgar County's spending in 2019-20 was 32 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
