Q2 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Coles County?

There were 16 offenders living in Coles County released on parole during the second quarter of 2021, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by East Central Reporter.

The data shows 15 men and one woman were released in Coles County. Of the parolees, one is a veteran, and the median age is 40. The youngest parolee was a 21-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2018, and the oldest was a 63-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2016.

The offender incarcerated the longest was Patrick P. Jackson. He was convicted of a crime involving one or more weapons in 2007 when he was 26 years old. He is now 40.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the second quarter of 2021 in each Coles County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
