Q2 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Clark County?

There were three offenders living in Clark County released on parole during the second quarter of 2021, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by East Central Reporter.

The data shows two men and one woman were released in Clark County. The median age of the parolees was 52. The youngest parolee was a 42-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2020, and the oldest was a 66-year-old man sentenced for a crime against a person in 2001.

The offender incarcerated the longest was Hoyt Ray. He was convicted of a crime against a person in 2001 when he was 45 years old. He is now 66.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the second quarter of 2021 in each Clark County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
