City of Flora issued the following announcement on Feb. 20.
The City of Flora is notifying you that our natural gas prices will increase significantly. We are doing everything we can, but ultimately this is a result of production being limited and high demand during these below average temperatures.
We encourage everyone to be proactive in decreasing consumption wherever possible, turning thermostats down and reducing the heat on your water. Anything you can do to lower consumption, will lessen the impact on your utility bill.
