Q1 2020 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Edgar County?

There were eight offenders released on parole during the first quarter of 2020 that live in Edgar County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by East Central Reporter.

The data shows that six men and two women were released in Edgar County. The median age of the parolees was 37. The youngest parolee was a 22-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2017, and the oldest was a 61-year-old woman sentenced for a crime involving alcohol in 2017.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Billy J. Dunlap. He was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2015 when he was 35 years old. He is now 41.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the first quarter of 2020 in each Edgar County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
