City of Casey issued the following announcement on Oct. 2.
Apparently our police presence made waves today as members of the Clark County Police Association received an overwhelming donation towards the annual Clark County Shop with a Cop Program. After multiple reports, let us clarify that there was absolutely NOT a Bank Robbery at Preferred Bank.
We apologize on the communities behalf to the Casey Westfield School District and the parents of CWHS students for the incorrect information that they had received causing a brief state of emergency.
Lastly, we’d like to acknowledge that Preferred Bank’s donation will help provide Christmas to approximately 125 children from the community this year! The Shop with a Cop event is truly one of the most honorable services this county’s law enforcement officers are able to give to the community each year and it would not be possible if it wasn’t for businesses such as Preferred Bank. Way to go!
