Q3 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Crawford County?

There were nine offenders released on parole during the third quarter of 2019 that live in Crawford County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by East Central Reporter.

The data shows that all of the released offenders in Crawford County were men. The median age of the parolees was 41. The youngest parolee was a 31-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2009, and the oldest was a 56-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving one or more weapons in 2018.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Michael V. Scott. He was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2016 when he was 45 years old. He is now 48.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the third quarter of 2019 in each Crawford County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
