City of Effingham issued the following announcement on June 25.
As part of a $900M community and business assistance program announced by Governor JB Pritzker today, DCEO will make available two new funding programs for businesses. New Business Interruption Grants (BIG) will provide a first wave of $60M in funding for up to 3,500 disproportionately impacted businesses experiencing losses or business closure. The Rebuild Distressed Communities is an economic recovery program directing $25M in businesses that have sustained property damage as a result of recent civil unrest.
